The Occupational Therapist Assistant and Physiotherapist Assistant program gives students the theoretical knowledge and practical skills required to work as an assistant in the fields of occupational therapy and physiotherapy. Demand for these services is growing due to an aging population and an increase in treatment rates for people of all ages.

Career opportunities

Graduates will be able to assist physiotherapists and occupational therapists in a variety of work environments, often within a multidisciplinary team.

This program is consistent with the competencies defined and developed by the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists and the Canadian Physiotherapy Association for support therapists.
